Specifically, he expressed his views on Williams‘ comeback and said, “I have the feeling that she is going to come back and say, ‘I’m going to play one more time’.” The German said this based on her performance at the US Open 2022.

Haas said, “She came so close to playing really well again and going far, so I think deep down it really annoys her.” Not jumping to any conclusions or giving assurances, he considered her physical and mental stance. Haas said, “Whether she has the desire to torture herself like that again after achieving so much.”
