In 2023, the total prize money pool for this tournament was $17,600,000. This was 5.25% higher compared to 2022. In 2024, this tournament has announced a $19 million total prize money pool. However, compared to 2023, singles winners, finalists, and semifinalists will get 10% less than they received in 2023. Both the ATP and WTA singles champions will receive $1,100,000. The finalists will get $585,000 and $325,000 will be given to the semi-finalists. However, in the rounds below players will see a hike.

This means players have to exit in the first or second rounds or the qualifying rounds will see improvements in their remunerations. Such changes express the objective of the Indian Wells tournament committee to offer financial support to more extended player groups.

Last year, the finalists of the tournament received $662,360, which was 2.54% higher than 2022. The champion took home $ 1,262,220.  There has been a definite improvement in the prize money since 2012. However, this year, the committee is offering more chances for qualifying players to participate.

In 2023, qualifying round players received $5,150 whereas players exiting in the first round received $18,660. It was a 2.53% and 2.61% rise compared to 2022. This year, the prize money is $7,800 for qualifying round players with $42,000 for round two players. This means despite winners or finalists having less, low-round players will be compensated well.

The COO of the tournament said- “Each year, we evaluate every aspect of our event — from prize money to scheduling to amenities and facilities — to ensure a top-tier experience for players and fans. This year, we are proud to be dedicating record prize money, and are highly focused on compensating all of the players competing in the BNP Paribas Open.”
