The tennis community can’t keep quiet as another edition of the Indian Wells Masters is almost underway. Adding to the excitement, fans will also get to witness a one-night Tie Break Tens event, the Eisenhower Cup, which is taking place before the commencement of the BNP Paribas Open. Some of the biggest names on both the ATP and WTA tours are currently locking horns in a mixed doubles format.

Ben Shelton and Emma Navarro were given the task of squaring off against Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa in a blockbuster doubles game. As they have managed to overcome the tennis lovebirds, the American duo will now get to take home a whopping prize bag.

With their stellar performances on the outdoor hardcourts, Shelton and Navarro defeated Tsitsipas and Badosa with a score of 10-8 in this tiebreak tens event. Along with the Eisenhower Cup, the American players have bagged a whopping $200,000 ahead of their respective campaigns at the Indian Wells Open.

From both the men’s and women’s circuits, 16 of the world’s top-ranked players will team up in the pre-BNP Paribas Open event, where there is a short tennis format in which only tie-break matches are played. Following an unconventional format in the racket game,  there are no games or sets in the Eisenhower Cup. There are only tie-break matches, and the winner is the first duo to clinch 10 points and lead by a margin of two.
