After winning her first-round match at the Australian Open, Caroline Wozniacki revealed that her daughter Olivia has been inclined toward the racket game. Olivia was further there on the court at the Rod Laver Arena alongside her tennis star mom, as she also wanted to ‘hit balls.’

Apart from accompanying Wozniacki during her on-court sessions, the Danish tennis player’s daughter also likes to watch the sport on TV. Speaking about her little kid’s profound interest in tennis, the 33-year-old WTA superstar recently made a ‘Novak Djokovic‘ reference in an on-court conversation.

The former world No. 1 player was recently awarded a walkover after her Polish opponent, Magda Linette, picked up an injury in the second set of the first-round match at the Australian Open. Following her opening-round victory in Melbourne, Caroline Wozniacki was asked, “Do your kids get what mom does as a day job?”

In her on-court interview, the Dane, who has two kids, disclosed that her son James has no idea about the game. However, Wozniacki’s daughter has been ardently following tennis, as she also likes to watch the sport on TV. She stated, “James has no idea, he’s still too young. Olivia fully gets it. She was on court on Rod Laver yesterday & just wanted to hit balls. Every time she sees a match on TV, she says ‘That’s my mama. That’s my mama.’ Even if it’s not me.”

Even when other players, including the Serbian tennis ‘GOAT’ Novak Djokovic, are playing, Wozniacki revealed how her daughter starts saying, ‘That’s my mama. That’s my mama.’  She further stated, “No that’s Novak Djokovic!” before adding, “If it’s Novak I’ll gladly say that’s me for sure.”

Entering the major tournament as an unseeded player, the former champion Wozniacki has started her campaign on a high note. After her first-round win in Melbourne, the 33-year-old player will now lock horns with the young Russian tennis star Maria Timofeeva in the second round of the Australian Open.
