After a brief split up, the fairy-tale love story of Gael Monfils and Elina Svitolina is back on track. And the news is music to many ears indeed! Earlier, the couple did drop some hints of a patch up; however, the recent posts from Svitolina confirmed it all.
Not long ago, the pair had shared a joint message on Instagram announcing their separation. Arguably, the Frenchman’s disappointing loss in the opening round at Australian Open 2021 deemed the cause.
However, the separated time has made them realise that they work better together. Also, to celebrate the union, the couple took on a mini vacation.

Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils take a road trip together
Ukrainian World No. 5 Elina Svitolina started dating French World No. 14 Gael Monfils in 2019. Instantly, the couple were a hit inside and outside of the tennis world.
Moreover, their happy-go nature combined and passion for tennis blended well as the foundation to their story. But the constant touring and hectic schedules made it difficult for them to be together.
Previously, Elina even agreed that ‘dating an athlete is not fun’. Even so, the Ukrainian knew even then that her heart belongs to the Frenchman.
Recently, she shared a picture with Monfils on their Instagram story and wrote, ‘Home is where your heart is’. With that, the happy couple confirmed that they are back together.
Most significantly, the couple is incomplete without their joint Instagram handle ‘G.E.M.S Life’. Thus, Elina took the responsibility and shared a video of their day out with their fans.
In the video, the couple is lip-syncing together over some melodies while on a road trip. Hopefully, they will keep singing and sharing for many more years to come.

Tennis-wise, Elina and Gael have had an unsatisfactory start to their 2021 season. Chiefly, the 34-year-old French professional has a 0-2 win-loss record so far.
On the other side, the Ukrainian managed to pick up a few notable wins but could not find any glory. Her highest reach so far is the recent loss to Ashleigh Barty in the Miami Open 2021 semifinal.
