During the match today, Watson received massive support from her home crowd. Later, during the on-court interview, Watson said, “These are the moments that you dream of as a little girl and… I don’t know why I’m getting emotional. I think I’ve just had a really rough couple of years like so many people have. So, this means a lot. Thanks.”

Notably, after winning the first set in a hard-fought tie-breaker, she was up 5-0 in the second set. However, Juvan broke one of her serves to make things a little interesting. Unfortunately, she suffered a heartbreaking loss to the American legend, Serena Williams in a tough match, where she was serving for the match.

Now, in the next round, she will face the German player Jule Niemeier for a chance to play in the quarter-final for the first time in her career.
