It was 2021 and Emma Raducanu announced her arrival in style after she stunned the tennis world with a US Open title. While people were supporting heavyweights right from the start, this little British sensation made her way all the way from the qualifiers and managed to win her first slam title. With the win, the hopes eventually increased and she became a global name. But, ever since her triumph, she hasn’t been able to stand up to the expectations.

It seems that the injuries and series of bad performances have overshadowed her triumph. But, as it seems, there are some, who still believe that she can turn the table. Mark Petchy, a former tennis professional, in an interview, came ahead and talked about her chances to win another title while reflecting on the time that he spent with her.

Mark Petchy makes a bold prediction surrounding Emma Raducanu’s grand slam success

In a recent revelation, Mark Petchey came ahead and showed a strong belief in Emma Raducanu’s future success. Despite a slow start in some matches, Petchey praised Raducanu’s incredible athleticism, which he thinks is not discussed enough. At the same time, he suggested a need for more consistency in her coaching team.

There was a time when Mark Petchey stayed with the team for 10 months. He recalled the moment when he spent coaching Raducanu while adding that there was not even a single day when she would not give her 100% on the tennis court. “But the one thing I will say about Emma is the 10 months that I spent with her, there was not a day, there was not a minute that she didn’t put in. Every single time she hit a tennis ball, and it was 100 per cent commitment to it,” said Petchy.

He suggested that the commitment that she showed was incredible. He wants people to know that Raducanu is incredibly dedicated and competitive. “She is moving well. She’s probably one of the best athletes out there on the tour right now. She moves phenomenally well, I don’t think we talk about it enough. If the game is there, then the athleticism backs up.”

However, Pecthy then came ahead and made a bold prediction and suggested that she could multiple grand slams. Despite a recent struggle in form, he believes that she still has a lot to offer.

“I think there are people out there that have a very wrong perception of what she is like as a person and as a competitor out there. She is going to give everything to this sport. And ultimately I believe she will be a multiple grand slam champion,” added Petchy.

Thus, Mark Petchy came in and suggested that Emma Raducanu still had that spark with her. While reflecting on the time that he spent with her, he suggested that she is highly dedicated towards her game and that she can become the best in the world once again.
