Katie Boulter, who is the current British women’s number one, opened up about how the 3-time singles Grand Slam champion has inspired her throughout her competitive journey.

Boulter has looked up to Murray, even in his late 30s, as he continues to put in hard work at the National Tennis Center. In an interview with Sky Sports, the 27-year-old said, “It’s fun to watch in a way that it gives me questions in my head as to whether I should be doing certain things or whether I’ll be playing in 10 years’ time or whether I’ll be playing in 20 years’ time.”

Andy Murray, whose tennis journey has been hindered by injuries, is still going strong at the age of 36 and has further been labeled as a ‘true champion’ by his young compatriot. Apart from expressing her admiration and respect for him, Boulter also talked about taking some ‘advice’ from her male counterpart.

Ever since making his debut in 2005, the British tennis legend has graced a number of tournaments for almost two decades now. Considering his vast experience and legacy on the tour, the 27-year-old opened up about how the ATP superstar was someone she would definitely be going to for some tennis advice.

While asserting that the former world No. 1 in singles has a lot of wisdom, Boulter said, “If I needed some advice he’d definitely be someone I would go to.” She further hailed Murray by calling him, “the epitome of tennis in his passion, his love for the game”.
