The second-ranked tennis player in the world has survived a second setback after failing to win his fifth Wimbledon championship. Roger Federer is the ultimate Wimbledon King
While the 36-year-old tennis player was all set to go for his eighth Wimbledon title and 24th Grand Slam title overall. He faced an unfortunate defeat against Carlos Alcaraz, putting everything on hold. Although the Swiss legend was not a part of Wimbledon. However, the world’s second-ranked tennis player was not able to equate Federer’s record with his defeat. A few days after the Wimbledon final, there was a poll by Express Sport regarding who was the greatest at Wimbledon. While 13,587 tennis fans took part in the poll to choose their favorite. An overwhelming majority—nearly 7,626—named the 41-year-old tennis legend as the Wimbledon hero.
Not only did the 20-time Grand Slam champion get triple the number of votes as the 36-year-old tennis player. They also suppressed Martina Navratilova, who has won eight Wimbledon titles and came third. She was somehow ignored, as only 739 voters picked her as the best player at Wimbledon.

Not only that, just moments before, the Serbian tennis player was ready to go for Federer’s record. He was almost ready to take the Wimbledon throne that was slipping away from the Swiss legend while he got ready to sit beside Pete Sampras.
When Djokovic was ready to take over Federer’s Wimbledon throne
In a crucial Wimbledon statistic just before the finals, the 22-time Grand Slam victor compared himself to his childhood idol, and his arch-rival. However, when the career winning percentage was revealed, Djokovic shocked everyone by posting a 90% winning percentage at Wimbledon.
