Raducanu training with Murray's nemesis—Is this a sign of her unstoppable drive to succeed?

It would be a litmus test for the sway of London’s support for Emma Raducanu at today’s match. Her decision to withdraw from mixed doubles with the British legend, Andy Murray, drew mixed responses from the fans. However, a recent update may tip the scales against her. Ahead of her R4 match, Raducanu caused a stir by practicing with Murray’s rival. Who was the person helping Raducanu ready for her clash against Lulu Sun?

Raducanu opened up about her stiff right wrist as she crushed the hopes of tennis fans getting a last glimpse of Murray in the Grass. And this led to worries about her facing an injury scare. However, in a recent update from tennis correspondent Eleanor Crooks, Raducanu surprised everyone by practicing with Liam Broady, Murray’s X (Twitter) rival! These updates certainly turned the heads of many tennis fans as they observed her practice snippet with an eagle-eyed gaze.

The Briton, with an unbothered attitude toward the weather, was seen practicing with the tennis player Broady. Or ‘Clown’ as termed by Murray during one of their heated exchanges on X. But everyone’s gaze- some with worries, others with scrutiny- was stuck on her wrist, particularly the right one before moving on to her opponent! And there was no strapping to support it. Crooks tweeted a picture of the two, “The rain isn’t stopping Raducanu, who’s warming up with Liam Broady ahead of her match this afternoon against leftie Lulu Sun. No strapping on the right wrist today.”

Moreover, Murray and Broady might have played men’s doubles sometimes. But the two don’t see eye to eye when it comes to X. Whether it’s a response to views of Mirra Andreeva, which made Murray call him “Liam Broady the walking contradiction” in one exchange and label him a ‘clown’ in another, or mocking him about believing his tweet for the first time, as Broady made his followers aware of an accident that led to a concussion, Murray slays it all the way to home against his compatriot.

Of course all of it is in good fun. But Raducanu’s timing to practice with Broady might be a tad bit out of place, as the English crowd’s love for their favorite knows no bounds. Good news for Raducanu, as she may have escaped a probable shave with injury, which could have derailed her Wimbledon campaign. But how would it affect the support for the young tennis star, as she ‘feels dangerous’ enough to make it to the quarterfinal of the grass slam?

‘Dangerous’ Emma Raducanu is all set for her R4 against Lulu Sun

Raducanu is back with a blazing attitude! She has not only regained her passion for the sports, which was under wraps after two surgeries on the wrist and further rehabilitation. But also her form, which might be better than the time when she claimed her 1st grand slam at the US Open. In a recent interview posted by Wimbledon, the Briton opened up about herself as she faces Sun in a few hours!

She said, “Playing on home turf, nothing really beats this feeling. And in a span of my life it’s not gonna come around so often. And I just want to savour every single moment… on home turf playing amazing tennis, with home crowd behind me. I really believe in my game and myself and I feel dangerous.”

Would this dangerous feeling smoothen her journey to the ultimate crown with crowd behind her. Or she would face the wrath of saying no to the legend?
