Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka has been a key force in this sport. There are very few players who are able to register a success rate as the four-time Grand Slam winner.

Osaka recently competed at the Indian Wells 2022. During her match against Veronika Kudermetova, a heckler screamed at her in the crowds in a demeaning manner. Considering the star player has been disturbed due to mental issues, this surely did her no good.

The Frenchman lends his support to Naomi Osaka

Recently, French star Gael Monfils spoke of this incident and condemned the episode. He felt that if he had a daughter and she would be in such a position as Naomi, he would not tolerate it. At the end of the day, players are humans and it is normal for them to reveal their emotions like every other being.

Speaking on this subject, Gael stated, “She’s how old? 23, 22 ya 24. You know, I don’t want my daughter, you know, some people say rubbish stuff. You can be a superstar, but you’re a 24-year-old girl and it’s not easy. No one can tell you when they work on the court, even when even the people scream your name, you don’t have goosebumps.”
