Carlos Alcaraz has been making waves at the Australian Open  2024. The Spaniard, defeating his Serbian opponent Miomir Kecmanović on Monday, confirmed his entry into the quarter-finals of the tournament. Besides being focused on taking down his opponents, do you think the rising star has any interest in the game of WTA players like Iga Swiatek and Emma Raducanu?

While every fan would love to hear an answer to this intriguing question, Jim Courier recently used his post-match interview opportunity to squeeze out a response from Alcaraz in a witty manner.

While every admirer might wonder if Carlos Alcaraz has any interest in WTA players and their matches, the Spaniard revealed his regular practice of watching WTA matches in a recent post-match interview at the Australian Open. When asked about his interest in women’s tennis, the Spaniard said, “Well, yes! I watch WTA as well. I mean, when I can, obviously! I mean when I turn the TV on, if it’s WTA, ATP, whatever, I like to watch.”

This pink-cheeked revelation gave a delightful perspective into Alcaraz’s love for tennis, extending to players like Iga Swiatek and Emma Raducanu. While the World No. 1 in WTA deserves the attention, Alcaraz and Raducanu have an interesting history. When the British star had wrist surgery last year, there was some confusion over a well-wisher posing as the Spaniard on social media. The incident ended hilariously with fans teasing both players, but neither commented on it.

Either way, this wasn’t the first time when Alcaraz revealed his interest in watching WTA matches.

Talking with her was really nice,” he said, expressing his excitement over shaking hands with his idol. As the Spaniard revealed his hidden liking for WTA matches, it gave fans a hint about his diverse interest in enjoying tennis games.
