The U.S. Tennis Association announced on Tuesday that the overall prize money for this year’s tournament will be a record $65 Million. This is a $5 Million increase as compared to the previous year. The reason for the steep increase is the fact that the amount of expenses covered for the players has increased.

However, this year’s winners will receive a payout of $3 Million. Although this signifies a $400,000 increase over last year’s prize money, it is still way below the pre-pandemic prize money of $3.9 Million. Nonetheless, players losing in the earlier rounds will receive an increase from the pre-pandemic levels.
