While Djokovic has completed 400 weeks as the top-ranked player, he has ended the year as World Number 1 on 8 occasions. This is way ahead of Roger Federer and Serena Williams’ feats. Both these players have ended the year as World Number 1 on just 5 occasions. However, there is yet another player who is on par with Djokovic at the top, and that is Steffi Graf.

Graf has ended as year-end World Number 1 on eight occasions too. Thus, Djokovic needs to finish another year as World Number 1 to go on top of this records chart. However, by doing it this time, he overcame Navratilova‘s feat of seven-year-ending World Number 1.

Despite being 36, age is just a number for Djokovic. Moreover, he looks like he is getting better with age. Thus, it won’t be a surprise if he overcomes Graf’s record next year. Additionally, he has no plans to slow down. Recently, he shed light on his plans for the upcoming season.

Replying to this question, he said, “Well, you can win four slams and Olympic gold (smiling). Let’s see. I mean, I have always the highest ambitions and goals. That’s not going to be different for the next year, that’s for sure. The drive that I have is still there. My body has been serving me well, listening to me well.
