Tennis superstars Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils have experienced various life transitions over the past two years. From being married in 2021 to becoming parents to their baby daughter, Skai, last year, their journey as a couple and as parents has been remarkable. However, living the life of a professional tennis player is much harder than they had anticipated. Monfils suffered an injury in the French Open that kept him out of the grass-court season. Despite the setback, the Frenchman sees nothing but positives from his unplanned break from competitive tennis.
Unlike her husband, Svitolina made it to Wimbledon despite dealing with numerous ups and downs on the professional front. While the Frenchman suffered an injury early, his wife advanced to the semi-finals. Monfils recently opened up about how missing Wimbledon worked out well for him as a father.

The 36-year-old tennis player missed Wimbledon due to a wrist injury that he suffered during the French Open. Svitolnia made it to the semi-finals, proving that anything and everything is possible even after becoming a mother. Recently, in an interview with Tennis Majors, the former world number 6 revealed his inner emotions as he turned cheerleader alongside his daughter at home for his wife.
He said, “She’s doing good, growing up quite fast. You’re at home, but it’s a privilege to spend quality time with your child. It can never be too much. It’s been an amazing month for me, watching my wife do fantastic as well”
