With the final Grand Slam of the year wrapped up, the tennis community is shifting its focus from on-court showdowns to some grand off-court celebrations. As players take a well-deserved break, many are using this time to tick off those incomplete desires they’ve been putting on hold. One such star is American tennis player Michael Mmoh, who’s been making headlines—but this time, not for his powerful forehands. Mmoh recently tied the knot, and the love he’s receiving from fans and fellow athletes alike is pouring in from all corners of the globe.
Taking to his Instagram on Tuesday, Mmoh shared a couple of pictures with his wife Klara Mrcela as the two celebrated their wedding. The couple can be seen in a beautiful white wedding dress in the city of Split, Croatia. Captioning the pictures, Mmoh wrote, “Best day of my life. 09/09/24.” As soon as he made the post, he witnessed immense love from his fellow players.
Responding to the post, Mmoh’s compatriot and sensational tennis player Coco Gauff expressed her love, and wrote, “congratulations!!.” She was joined by yet another American star player Tommy Paul, who wrote, “Congrats!” on the post. The couple also received well-wishes from all around the tennis community with fans and players commenting similarly. Remember, the couple were engaged to each other in 2022.

The timing of Mmoh’s and Mrcela’s relationship is not known much. However, it was in December 2022, when Mrcela uploaded a series of photos with Mmoh and captioned it, “WE ARE ENGAGED!!!” on December 30, 2022. “The most memorable night of our life… Words cannot express how fortunate and happy we are to have met. We’ve been living a fantasy dream and don’t want it to end.”

For the unversed, Mmoh’s wife is also associated with tennis as closely as the star player himself. Mrcela played on the WTA international tennis tour and had an ITF Junior Ranking of 1077. She has a Master of Education in Sports Management and is currently working as a tennis instructor at the IMG Academy. The couple, meanwhile, have shared quite adorable moments in the past as well.
