Ben Shelton ‘Dials In,‘ Coco Gauff to do a few rounds of warmups at the ‘Mixed Madness‘ fun event ahead of the 2024 US Open! The American duo recently took on the power couple Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa in an exciting doubles match. Both of these tennis stars created a historic moment last year in the singles event by becoming the first pair of American tennis players under the age of 21 to reach the SF of the same major. Fans love to see these two friends in action! Does Gauff’s rumored boyfriend fall on that list of fans?

Well, here is the clue: Just a few hours ago, Coco Gauff put a post on her Instagram account that featured glimpses of some of the moments from her recent mixed double match with Shelton. She captioned that post by saying, “dialed in for some mixed madness fun w/ @benshelton.” We found Taylor Fritz leave a comment on that post stating, “With the (G.O.A.T) @benshelton.“ The Gauff came up with a reply to Fritz’s comment, she said, “big time glazer.” However, the talk of the town has been specifically Jalen Sera’s like on that post!

Gauff has time and again revealed that she wants to keep her relationship a bit private, but she failed to hide the name of that ‘special person.‘ After following quite a few of her social media posts, fans speculate that the lucky person is Jalen Sera. Now who’s Sera? As per several reports, he’s a budding musician from Atlanta. Speaking more about her boyfriend Gauff once revealed, “He’s a very nice guy. He wants to be an actor and he plays the guitar.” 

She’s happy that he’s not from the tennis world. “To just have someone to talk to who is not involved in tennis at all gives me a fresh perspective,” said Gauff. Sera has been time and again spotted publicly portraying his love and support for Gauff. A prime example of such instances was when Coco Gauff revealed how he calmed her nerves before the US Open finals last year. The night before the finals she was getting thoughts of her disappointing loss at the 2022 French Open final, and she wanted to distract her mind from those negative thoughts. So, she told her boyfriend, “Let’s talk until it’s time to go to sleep.” And then, we saw what happened the next day!

According to Gauff, he’s someone who always helps bring out her competitive side. He gave her an ‘infinity necklace‘ after she won the US Open last year. They’ve known each other for a long time. During the Miami Open this year, Gauff suffered an early exit, even that time Jalen Sera tried to motivate her with a “The world needs you” comment on one of her IG posts. Even during the Paris Olympics, Sera expressed her happiness seeing Gauff hoisting USA’s flag. He commented on a post saying, “Captain Go.“

So, we’re expecting similar support at the US Open as well. She has already hinted that her boyfriend may come to some tournaments in the US. Coco is a little sister to me!” They have been spotted sharing quite a few funny moments in the past, however, nothing could match with what happened in the recent mixed double event.

Shelton literally left Gauff hanging for a high-five during their doubles match on Tuesday. Ben Shelton was so engrossed in his own excitement during the match that he literally overlooked that his teammate was approaching for a celebratory high-five. He missed Gauff’s outstretched hand, leaving Gauff standing in an awkward position in front of a house-full stadium. That was quite a hilarious moment for all the fans! The US Open officials page on X later posted that moment with a caption, “Ben Shelton on defense! And then leaves Coco hanging.”

Shelton later clarified, “My b I didn’t see her” and then Gauff came up with a reply stating, “@benshelton left me hanging rip.” Will Gauff respond to Shelton’s call next time after this embarrassing-yet-so-funny moment?
