An America-based Sinclair Broadcast Group has confirmed a distribution agreement of $1.28 Billion with one of the biggest viewership platforms, YouTube TV. The distribution agreement would add efficient value to widen its live TV streaming services, and extend access to the Tennis Channel, T2, CHARGE! And TBD to YouTube TV service offerings.

However, there are more agreements involved in the initiative. The agreement also extends YouTube TV’s existing carriage of Sinclair’s CBS and MyNetworkTV affiliated television broadcast stations. Sinclair has taken a powerful step towards widening the coverage of tennis.

Tennis Channel is the only television-based multi-platform that is dedicated to professional sports and the tennis lifestyle. While T2 is the Tennis Channel’s first free ad-supported TV platform. The two channels will telecast their first broadcast, Roland-Garros (the French Open). The agreement will give YouTube TV subscribers a medium to watch Tennis Channel’s exclusive live coverage of more than 93% of professional tennis events annually.

The multi-cast networks of Sinclair, CHARGE! would also entertain their users with high-profile dramas, and TBD, featuring reality-based series. Particularly, it is also has been scheduled to launch on YouTube on June 1st.

The SVP Head of Distribution & Network Relations of Sinclair, Will Bell, explained the initiative in brief that the idea behind this step is to provide more coverage to the users. This agreement renews the carriage of Sinclair’s network for sci-fi and fantasy fans.

With Roland-Garros kicking-off May 28, the timing is perfect for YouTube TV customers.”

Tennis Channel’s joined hands with Vidgo to exceed

The single-sport tennis platform, Tennis Channel, signed a deal with Vidgo on March 5th. Vidgo is one of America’s best value streamers for live sports and entertainment. The agreement was aimed to expand Vidgo’s line-up of live sports as it features some of the world’s best athletes. The partnership was started in the most-prestigious months on the annual tennis calendar during the BNP Paribas Open and Miami Open.
