Apart from being a legendary tennis player, Roger Federer is also a revolutionary businessman. The Swiss star has gone down to work with some of the best brands in the world throughout his career. Not only this, he has started his own ventures that he is looking after, now that he has retired. One among them is ‘On Running’, a sneaker-making company. Started in 2019, the company has gone on to do wonders and become one of the best in the business.

The tale of Roger Federer’s association with ‘OnRunning’ unfolds as a journey of genuine connection and shared values. Initially sparked by seeing his wife donning On shoes and encountering them on Zurich’s streets, Federer’s curiosity was piqued. Upon slipping into a pair, he felt drawn to the brand’s lightweight comfort. This ignited his eagerness to meet the brand’s creators.
What started as a casual interaction evolved into deeper engagement. Conversations and gatherings in Zurich allowed Federer to learn about the founders’ ambitions and the Swiss success story they were crafting on a global scale. Federer’s admiration for Swiss enterprises transcending borders resonated with his desire to contribute to their growth.
Roger Federer owned 3% of On Running ($6.5bn) valued at around $180m, more than his entire competition earnings as a tennis player

The partnership was announced in late 2019, coinciding with Federer’s involvement in designing an on-court shoe and the off-court The Roger Line. Federer’s motivation transcended personal gain – he aimed to support a Swiss venture’s success story.
After he gained massive success, tennis ace Serena Williams is now on the same page as she has joined hands with Nike for the creative endeavor.
