There is a new friendship blossoming in the tennis community that has recently piqued the interest of fans. It is the friendship between the reigning Australian Open champions, Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka, who have apparently established a close bond with their on and off-court endeavors. From pulling off hilarious dance moves to their practice sessions during the tournaments, they have often managed to delight the audience together.
In the process, Djokovic and Sabalenka have constantly showcased their mutual respect and support for each other on the court. It was also made evident during the ongoing Wimbledon, where the Belarusian tennis player recently heaped praises on the Serbian tennis legend while hailing him as ‘a great guy’.

Aryna Sabalenka opens up about her friendship with Novak Djokovic
Both the tennis stars have an outstanding run at the ongoing British Slam as they have already reached the quarter-final round of the prestigious tournament. During her campaign at the Wimbledon Championships, the WTA star was asked about her friendship with Novak Djokovic.
In her response, the Belarusian tennis star was all praise for the reigning Roland Garros champion from whom she frequently seeks advice on her game. Sabalenka said, “He’s a great guy, a very nice guy. I can easily ask him for advice and he would give it to me.”
While hailing him as “a great guy,” the WTA player also expressed her gratitude for the Serbian tennis legend’s constant support and guidance on the court. She added, “It’s really good to have someone like Novak, a friend like someone like Novak, you can always ask for advice. I mean, I really appreciate for his help to me.”
Apart from lavishing praise on him, Sabalenka also hailed the 36-year-old player in a hilarious tribute prior to the grass-court major event.

Sabalenka previously came up with a hilarious tribute for the Serb
Prior to the commencement of the British Slam, the WTA World No. 2 shared a picture with the Serb from one of their practice sessions. It was the caption of that post that caught the attention of the fans as the Belarusian hilariously emphasized the fact that they both have a combined 24 Grand Slams titles. She said, “24 Grand Slams in one pic.”
In the other part of her caption, Sabalenka made it clear that the purpose of the ‘tribute’ post was to make her followers laugh, given the fact she only has one major title in her bag.
