Anna Kalinskaya and Jannik Sinner's kiss at the US Open—Is this the new power couple in tennis?

What a win indeed! Jannik Sinner has just shown the world what true resilience looks like. After a rollercoaster of a year—marked by intense scrutiny over the doping saga—he’s now silenced the critics in the best way possible: by lifting the US Open trophy. It’s not just a triumph for the World No. 1 on the tennis court, but a testament to his strength and determination off it. But Sinner knows he didn’t do it alone.

As he prepares to hoist the trophy, it isn’t just the victory on his mind, but all the people who stood by him when the odds seemed stacked against him. One of the closest figures during his turbulent phase? None other than his girlfriend, Anna Kalinskaya. After defeating Taylor Fritz in front of the American crowd in straight sets 6-3, 6-4, 7-5, the Italian dynamo quickly headed to his box and celebrated the win with his team.

He soon rushed to his girlfriend Kalinskaya and hugged her expressing his love. Reciprocating the same, the WTA star congratulated Sinner with a sweet and adorable kiss that mesmerized the tennis community. Sinner also thanked his entire team in the post-match conference. “I’m very happy and proud to share this with my team. I know there are a lot of people watching from home. But I’d like to thank everyone for being so fair in this amazing arena.” Remember, Sinner and Kalinskaya revealed their relationship this year itself.

After winning the first-round match at the French Open this year, the Italian sensation put all the rumors to rest and revealed his love for the Russian star. “You know me, I don’t like to talk about my private life, but we are together.” Notoriously private, Sinner continued, “Yes, I’m with Anna, but we keep everything very confidential. I won’t say more.” However, this is not the first time when the couple has engaged in such adorable moments.

During the Berlin Open this year, Kalinskaya expressed her desire to play as well as Sinner. “I’m just trying to be a little as good as him. It’s difficult; usually, I watch him,” she said. Besides, despite witnessing a setback in the third round of the US Open, Kalinskaya did not fail to extend her support to her boyfriend and was seen in his box for all his crucial matches. It is probably for this very reason that the couple has received the adoration of not just the fans, but tennis experts as well.

Speaking on the August 13th episode of Served with Roddick, the 2003 US Open winner said, “Kalniskaya, otherwise known as Mrs. Sinner – not yet, can hit the ball really big and it’s finally finding confidence. I always look for those players who have been on tour but then they actually start finding the court with more frequency.” But for now, all eyes are on Kalinskaya’s Italian boyfriend.

As Jannik Sinner clinches yet another Grand Slam, it would be interesting to see how the couple would celebrate the grand victory. But this win would have definitely given the Italian player a respite from the turbulent times that he faced recently.
