Novak Djokovic is fighting for the future of tennis! Not only by producing impressive athletic numbers but also by paving the way for the next generation to grow in their abilities. The 36-year-old Serbian tennis player is thereafter attempting to offer the next generation a voice by encouraging them to be themselves on the court and as full-fledged athletes with the aid of his Professional Tennis Players Association.

But the most pressing concern is whether he will be supported by the generation that comes after him. However, good news is on the way for PTPA. A rising American sensation, Frances Tiafoe, recently supported Djokovic’s PTPA, adding another jewel to the association’s support.

Days before the Citi DC Open, the 25-year-old American tennis star sat down with the PTPA along with his brother, Franklin, to discuss things about tennis. In their conversation, that twin brother talked about a lot of things but emphasized the fact that having support from a player’s organization is very important to balance out the sport in an amazing manner.

He said, “I mean, that’s the standard. You know before I even get to that, I think that should be the bottom line. You know that small numbers of the profit. That’s all secondary I think,  being an organization where you have someone you know someone’s got to fight for the players for the right to the players in the money situation and the everyday tourlife.”

Apart from that, he also emphasized the fact that having support in the form of money matters in other concerns rising in the tennis arena; having an organization to support the player is a huge thing. Additionally, he also talked about how continual ball switching has hampered players while providing other examples to highlight the need for a player’s organization.

Nearly a month ago, the real motivation behind their decision to join the PTPA was brought to light by their business agent, Stuart Duguid.

Nick Kyrgios’ and Naomi Osaka’s motivation to join PTPA

In an interview with the Djokovic-led company, the founder of EVOLVE Talent Agency discussed the value of a partnership between a tennis star and the relevant organization. Additionally, during that chat, he disclosed the rationale for why these two tennis giants joined the PTPA.

He admitted that both of them had always looked up to the NBA to see what they were up to off the court as much as on it. Additionally, it was pointed out that they always plan ahead and are aware of NBA players who are affiliated with their players’ union. As an effort to bring that into tennis and show support to the lower-ranked tennis players, joining the PTPA was the best decision.
