John McEnroe and Maria Sharapova were recently spotted engaging in a funny banter ahead of their partnership at the Pickleball Slam 2. The world’s former number-one was caught in between a candid moment with another tennis legend John McEnroe as the former proposed him to be more active on social media. The legend might be an expert on the court but when it comes to his online presence, he’s pretty much a novice. And this very aspect gave way to a hilarious conversation, which was evident from a post shared on Instagram.
Maria Sharapova advised John McEnroe to join Instagram ahead of their Pickleball Slam 2 participation
The partnership between the amazing duo will be seen on the 4th of February. Sharapova and McEnroe will face off against the badass tennis duo, Andre Agassi and Steffi Graff. Now that the second rendition of the Pickleball Slam 2 is coming near, Sharapova seemed enthusiastic about more publicity of the event.

The Instagram post in question saw McEnroe and Sharapova sitting in a court discussing the possibility of the 64-year-old joining the social media platform. “We should set up an Instagram account for you. Like specific to this event to see how many followers you get,” Sharapova quipped. McEnroe, who didn’t sound convinced enough then engaged in a funny banter with the world’s former number one. In fact, Sharapova tried to convince McEnroe by saying he doesn’t even need to dress up since there are many filters.

The veteran was then seen trying out some hilarious filters until he gave up on the idea eventually. “Do you know how this filter thing works? cause I feel like I am already getting into trouble,” the veteran added, inducing a laugh from his teamate.
Still believing that joining Instagram would be a bad idea, John McEnroe then took a hilarious dig at Sharapova for making things hard for him. “Will you tell Maria that we are team mates? Please someone tell her, we are on the same page, same team,” McEnroe hilariously said.

The post, that was captioned, “A new year, a new instagram account for the Mac-attack?” was certainly a hit among fans who flooded the comments section voicing their admiration. And why would they not? After all, when two legends play on the same side, magic is supposed to follow. Even Sharapova couldn’t hide her excitement about the partnership as she revealed how she felt about participating in Pickleball Slam 2.
Sharapova revealed her true feelings about partnering with McEnroe
On her official Instagram channel, Maria Sharapova revealed her excitement about the Pickleball Slam 2. Not only did she mention getting inspired by McEnroe but she also expressed her competitiveness about the match. The player commented, “I feel a little competitive, nervous but don’t mind me. Support us. Let’s go, team.” Following Sharapova’s statement, fans felt more charged up for the event. Calling their team, Team Mac, Sharapova expressed her true energy for the Mac attacks.

Maria Sharapova and John McEnroe’s funny banter expressed that this duo is ready. Nevertheless, the way they are trying to add fun and popularize the event, soon Pickleball Slam will get its dedicated fan base.
