In the world of sports, no one justifies the quote “Age is just a number” better than Serbian legend Novak Djokovic! Even at the ripe age of 36, Djokovic is showing no signs of slowing down. Rather, it might be argued that he is playing some of the best tennis he has ever played in his entire career. And for anyone who has followed the career of the record 24-time grand slam champion, it is clear that he is hungry for more.

As he continues his domination on the tennis court, Novak Djokovic is rewriting the record books with every match that he takes part in. Fans and experts alike are left wondering as to how many titles the Serb will finally end up with before he decides to hang up his boots. Rick Macci, the former coach of Serena Williams, seems to have an answer.

Novak Djokovic’s recent US Open triumph extended his grand slam count to a whopping 24, thereby making him the person with the most number of singles majors in the Open Era surpassing Serena Williams’ tally of 23. Not only this – Djokovic is now tied with Margaret Court for most grand slam singles titles won by any player in the history of the sport.

Certainly, this has cemented his legacy as one of the greatest players to ever hold a tennis racket. But how many more majors can the Serb possibly win?

Renowned tennis coach Rick Macci, best known for his association with the legendary Serena Williams, believes that Novak Djokovic has a lot more left in his tank, as far as grand slam glory is concerned. “Was asked how many more Slams can the @DjokerNole win. If the Rubber Band Man stays healthy which is the Master key to the Majors Front Door I feel the Serbian Sniper can fire at least Four More”, he assessed in his recent tweet in X, claiming that Djokovic has the capability of winning at least 4 more grand slam titles in the upcoming years.

With Roger Federer retired and Rafael Nadal out injured, Djokovic remains the only active representative of the golden era of men’s tennis and clearly, he isn’t willing to pass the torch to the younger generation just yet.

There is no doubt in the fact that men’s tennis has undergone a major shift in balance with the rise of younger ATP stars on the tour like Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, and Holger Rune. However, when it comes to the big occasions, it is world number 1 Novak Djokovic who still reigns supreme.

According to Darren Cahill, the current coach of Italian ATP ace Jannik Sinner, Djokovic is successfully carrying forward the legacy of the famed ‘Big 4’ of men’s tennis, which involved Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray.
