Tennis is one of the most popular sports in the world. Thus, many who are talented enough to achieve remarkable things in the sport are often idolized by fans and the entire sporting realm. A unique way in which players are now honored is by portraying them in various art forms. Reilly Opelka recently went to an art gallery that houses portraits of several famous personalities in tennis. Even Venus Williams felt that she had to comment about the portraits.
Reilly Opelka has been out of action ever since August 2022. However, Opelka has been active on social media during this time and interacts with his fans constantly.

Although Opelka has not played tennis competitively for over 6 months, the former world number 17 knows how to keep his fans entertained. He recently visited an art gallery that had exhibits of certain tennis players.

Opelka shared a few pictures on his Instagram post with the caption, “Art & Tennis“. The first picture he shared was of Chris Evert, who was painted in several colors and had a beautiful hairstyle. One picture paid ode to the ‘Superbrat’ John McEnroe. The portrait showed a young McEnroe swinging his racket with the caption, “Tennis, M*********er?”

A third portrait showed the WTA superstar Venus Williams. The picture prompted Williams herself to leave a comment. She was pleased with the exhibit and praised Opelka’s choice to add her to the post. Williams said, “Good taste 👏“.
Opelka is a fan of Venus Williams
Reilly Opelka is not the only one who is enchanted by a portrait of Venus Williams. In a grand gesture, Canadian artist Anna Weyant made a painting of Venus and put it in her art gallery. Williams’ portrait was one of the few made by the famous artist. Opelka visited the event and was wowed by the tribute to 7-time Grand Slam champion.

Opelka additionally took a picture of himself standing next to the portrait and shared it on his Instagram story. However, the American giant was not alone. Several notable figures like Aby Rosen, Glenn Furhmann, Stanley Whitney, and Eileen Kelly also attended the exhibit. The 7-times single Grand Slam champion also graced the event with her appearance.
