One of the most exciting mixed-gender team tennis tournaments, the United Cup, is set to kick off shortly. It is going to feature some of the best players from the tennis realm. The Spanish tennis players, Rafael Nadal and Paula Badosa are also a part of the tournament in Sydney, gearing up to represent their country in the mixed-doubles team tennis event.
Notably, they were recently in a relaxed mood in a team interview ahead of the event, as the 22-time singles Grand Slam champion expressed his views on teaming up with the WTA star.

The Spanish tennis stars were recently featured in an interview where they talked about the exciting mixed-doubles team in Sydney. While talking to the media, Rafael Nadal called his team up with his compatriot as the “dream team”.
The 22-time singles Grand Slam champion said, “We are in the same team. Tomorrow we need to believe that that’s the dream team!”
The Spanish tennis players were spotted in a bantering mood as they were laughing and enjoying their interactions. Meanwhile, Badosa was asked if she would like to have some other player than Nadal on her team. She answered by stating, “No, I mean, come on! You already know. Rafa, of course”.
The Spanish team is looking strong, as some of the best players from the tour are competing in the mixed-doubles event. Other Spanish tennis players like David Vega Hernandez, Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, Pablo Carreno Busta, and Nuria Parrizas Diaz, are also there for the tournament in Australia.

Badosa previously talked about her admiration for Nadal
The Spanish tennis legend, Rafael Nadal, with his sheer brilliance and dominance on the court, has inspired many of the current stars in the ATP and WTA Tours. Notably, Paula Badosa has always looked up to the 22-time singles Grand Slam champion since her childhood. Badosa was featured in an interview with Eurosport earlier this year, where she talked about her admiration for her compatriot.
She regards Nadal as a “worker” and a great “fighter” on the tennis court. Badosa lavished praise on Nadal for keeping his composure during the high-pressure matches on the tour. She added that if she wants to emulate someone, then it is going to be her idol.
