The Swiss Maestro, Roger Federer, is currently in New York after the successful multi-million dollar event, the Met Gala. After the event, he did something that has basketball fans in a frenzy. The tennis legend recently attended a New York Knicks game along with his wife, Mirka Federer, and had the time of his life in New York City. He was joined by several celebrities from the entertainment industry, making the occasion all the more special.

For the 20-time Grand Slam champion, New York has been a very special place. The city has seen the retired tennis legend’s finest moments, including the five consecutive US Open titles he won from 2004 to 2008. Thus, whenever he is in ‘The City that Never Sleeps’, he makes the most of it.

If you are a Federer fan, you definitely know about how he enjoyed watching basketball matches in his childhood. Now, the same young basketball fan has grown up into the 41-year-old tennis legend. After an exhausting week at the Met Gala, he took some time out to watch a game between the New York Knicks and the Miami Heat at the Madison Square Garden.

The former world number one took to his Twitter account to share some inside information from the NBA match, along with a picture of himself all set to watch the match. He captioned the pictures with, “New York or Nowhere.”

The Swiss Maestro attended the game with his lovely wife Mirka, and the two of them were seated in the first row to watch the thrilling NBA action.

Additionally, the New York basketball team’s official Instagram account continued to post pictures of all the celebrities who came to the game. And one of the pictures showed the former tennis star sitting next to his wife. And while he gives the camera a peek, his wife is fully immersed in the game. Additionally, he was joined by Jessica Alba, Chris Rock, and other celebrities who relished the star-studded match.

Although his appearance at the Knicks game is enough to show his love for basketball, there is more from his past. In an old interview with NBA legend Michael Jordan years ago, he admitted that ‘His Airness’ was his idol growing up.
