The sport, pickleball backed by tennis stars like Nick Kyrgios and Naomi Osaka, has gained massive popularity recently. The game that has taken the country by storm is now being played by many athletes and common people. Additionally, pickleball is also getting huge recognition from a slew of notable figures. The American media personality and boxer who is currently on WWE, Logan Paul, and the renowned rapper, Wiz Khalifa, also acknowledged the popularity of the sport during a recent podcast.

Logan lavished praise on the game while also talking about its potential in the sporting realm. Meanwhile, he also pointed out how the sport, pickleball, is different from the game of tennis.

The Wimbledon finalist, Nick Kyrgios, has joined a slew of other notable figures who have also made investments in one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States. However, it is not only Kyrgios from the tennis realm who has made an investment in the sport of pickleball. The Japanese tennis player, Naomi Osaka, has also invested in a Miami team that will be playing in the Major League Pickleball team.

“Hey, this might be the thing for you. I don’t know much about it, but this sport is on the f*cking come up.”

A slight comparison was made between the sport of tennis and pickleball, during the podcast. Notably, Logan stated,

“They democratize tennis”

The American rapper, Wiz Khalifa was also there during the podcast. He said,

“Alright, we just started our little business. Just put me in a game.”

Logan further added about the American actor, Jamie Foxx, who has

“opened a pickleball paddle business”. The American media personality said, “Jamie Foxx has opened a pickleball paddle business, okay, and a lot of our peers are acquiring pickleball teams.”

Kyrgios had to defend his investment in the ‘rival’ sport

The Australian coach and former tennis star, Rennae Stubbs, slammed players for investing in the popular sport in the US. She used her online platform to reveal that she will not be investing in a pickleball franchise.

The Wimbledon finalist, Kyrgios, took note of Stubbs’ comments on social media and was not impressed with Stubbs slamming the tennis players for investing in pickleball. Kyrgios defended his investment in the pickleball franchise by mentioning the names of other renowned figures who have also made such investments.
