Inspiration can strike from anywhere at any time. And nothing is more inspiring to an athlete than record-makers and breakers. Frances Tiafoe recently found inspiration in an NCAA player, who is slowly becoming a living legend. Making history in college basketball, Iowa’s Caitlin Clark scored a three-pointer against Michigan Wolverines, which helped her secure the all-time NCAA scoring record, including men.

The win also pushed the University of Iowa to the final of the NCAA Championships. After the match, Clark couldn’t help but hold back her tears as she said, “I want my legacy to be the impact that I have on young kids and people in the state of Iowa. I hope that I brought them a lot of joy this season.”

She certainly went on to impact the citizens of Iowa. However, her record-breaking effort has even inspired the tennis world number 23, Frances Tiafoe. He reshared her statement with the caption, “Inspired me 🤞🏿🤞🏿@caitlinclark22“. While the University of Iowa managed to go to the NCAA finals, they couldn’t win against South Carolina.
