Having a memory with Roger Federer is like a dream come true! While it’s a fantasy for a lot of tennis fans, it’s Pep Guardiola’s daughter’s lucky day. Recently, when the Swiss tennis legend made his way to Wimbledon to watch the stars of the current era and honor the generation past, Maria Guardiola got the perfect opportunity to take a selfie with him.
In addition to being the daughter of the Manchester City manager, the younger Guardiola is establishing a strong career for herself as a style icon. The fashionista and influencer captivates her fans with her fashion-forward images and frequently reveals her affluent lifestyle to them.
This time, though, she took a detour from flaunting her stylish life to post an exquisitely staged photo of herself with tennis great Roger Federer on Instagram, which had fans going crazy. While it was a black-and-white picture, the 20-time Grand Slam champion was all decked up in a smart suit. On the other hand, the internet sensation wore a white dress with a black collar, paired with graceful accessories.

Along with that amazing picture, Maria Guardiola wrote, “Such an honor!” Apparently, eight-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer was at No. 1 Court to check out the action with his parents and longtime agent Tony Godsick. Federer’s agency, TEAM8, manages rising star Ben Shelton, adding another layer of interest to his presence at the event.

On the other hand, he was also there to witness Andy Murray in action, but subsequently, the British tennis player’s mixed double partner, Emma Raducanu pulled her name out at the last moment, leaving everything puzzled while Murray did his best to continue his Wimbledon farewell run.
However, the 42-year-old tennis legend was present at Wimbledon, not only making Pep Guardiola’s daughter’s day but at the same time, quietly helping Ben Shelton achieve victory.

With Roger Federer’s presence, Shelton survives at Wimbledon!
In a gripping encounter that lasted three hours and four minutes, the 14th seed battled past Denis Shapovalov, the 2021 Wimbledon semifinalist, 6-7(4), 6-2, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2. With this tough win, he made history as the first American man to go to the fourth round at SW19 since John McEnroe in 1992. He is left-handed.
Along with that, he stated, “I definitely feel confident in how fit I am right now, how prepared I am to go the distance. I know I’m going to fight until the end out there.”

Although Shelton didn’t mention Federer afterward, perhaps the 8-time Wimbledon champ’s good vibes influenced the American. However, the happiness didn’t last long as Federer, who missed out on Murray’s doubles match with his brother, didn’t get to witness his mixed doubles match either as his partner Emma Raducanu pulled out.
