As the Djoker attended PSG’s final match in the Ligue 1, he wanted to meet Messi and Neymar as he admired both players a great deal. However, as the two were lining up for the championship match, Djokovic did not want to impede. As they made their way to the locker room, they spotted the world number 2 and walked over to talk to him. Meeting the two for the first time, Djokovic was overcome with even more admiration.
Before they went to their locker room, Neymar signed his daughter Tara’s jersey. For Djoker, it was a funny story, as he told reporters. His daughter did not follow sports much, but she loved Neymar. Her adoration existed only because of her friend, who dances to a song about Neymar continuously.
“Neymar signed Tara’s jersey, but it’s an interesting story. She doesn’t follow sports much, but she has a school friend who is half Brazilian-half Serbian – that girl dances all the time to this song about Neymar. That’s why she wanted to meet him badly.”
Neymar specializes in a style of soccer known as Samba Soccer. It is a style of playing the game by taking heavy influence from Brazilian culture. Locally known as ‘Ginga’, several Brazilian soccer legends such as Ronaldinho and Pele have exhibited a similar pattern in their dribbling.

Djokovic’s admiration led to re-creation of a hilarious moment
After the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Messi was lauded as the biggest soccer superstar. Before defeating France in the final, Argentina met the Netherlands in the quarterfinal. After their victory, Messi was interviewed and locked eyes with Wout Weghorst and angrily stated, “What are you looking at, fool? Go away.” While the moment was perceived differently by everyone, Djokovic found a way to turn it into something else.

Earning his nickname of the ‘Djoker’, the Serbian recreated the moment with Diego Schwartzman and stuck to Messi’s words. But the clip didn’t end before Schwartzman and Djokovic both broke character. Even though extremely serious during matches, Djokovic is quite the jokester during his personal time.
