The Olympics is one of the biggest sports events, welcoming athletes and spectators from all around the world. While countries take huge pride in hosting the event, Paris seemed to be an exception following certain rumors. However, Taylor Fritz’s girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, stepped in to reveal the reality to her followers. With her take on the city of love during the Olympics, Riddle breaks the stereotypes about the locale.
Riddle took to her official Instagram story to share snippets from Paris. Almost three months before the event started, several sources reported that Parisians were not happy with it because they believed it would become a big inconvenience for the locals. A poll in March also showed only one-third of the population of France being enthusiastic about the Olympics. Following this, the global audience of the Olympics believed that despite France hosting the event, maybe locals were not interested.
However, Fritz’s girlfriend showed an image of Paris’ roads, which portrayed a completely different image. People danced, clicked photos together, sang songs, and were immersed in the celebration of the Olympics. Riddle shared the photo to take a dig at “Paris is going to be miserable during the Olympics.” She shared another photo of local Parisians when they indulged in Waltz on the streets. “I love humans,” wrote Riddle, rubbishing the rumors of a monotonous and unenthusiastic Paris crowd.

Riddle’s Paris Olympics moments were fun, as usual. She wore special “Cucarachas shoes” with a US-themed tank top and a matching white short skirt while cheering for her boyfriend. Fritz’s father, Guy, who also accompanied them to Paris, was awestruck by Riddle’s new heels and believed it would come in handy to kill cockroaches. “Taylor’s dad just told me these shoes are my ‘cucaraches shoes’ because the pointy toes can get into corners to kill cockroaches. Ok!” Riddle wrote on her Instagram story.

Riddle shared her admiration for Kim Yeji, a South Korean pistol shooter who won a silver medal at the women’s air pistol 10-meter event in Paris. While she attended the Olympics to support her boyfriend, Riddle found herself growing fond of Yeji. She took to her Instagram story and wrote, “My favorite part of the Olympics so far has been discovering Kim Yeji.” Riddle shared Yeji’s picture from World Cup Baku, where she wore an all-black ensemble (a trouser and a jacket with a black cap) and also wrote, “How is this a real person, i think I’m in love.”
Riddle’s caption showed her amazement at Yeji’s calm and cool attitude and her style of placing her other hand, which offered a very determined and confident look for the South Korean shooter. This famous tennis WAG not only helped make Yeji more popular to the global world but offered to see the happiness of Parisians in hosting the Olympics this year.
