Djokovic or Nadal: Who truly deserves the title of the greatest tennis player of our era?

Bold calls are coming in one after the other, as Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic’s clash comes near at the Paris Olympics. In all the predictions made by different entities, this time, John McEnroe’s brother Patrick McEnroe, there is one similarity. They all predict the odds in favor of the Serbian ace to win the record 60th encounter against the Spaniard. McEnroe also came out with a similar expectation, and unlike many others, tennis fans didn’t question him this time. Rather, they sided with him after Djoker tasted success at Wimbledon.

McEnroe took to X to declare his analysis of this clash between two of the Big 3. It should have been a tough call to make, as both the legends have showcased some quality tennis in the last few tournaments. However, according to the President of the International Tennis Hall of Fame, Djokovic has a massive edge in the upcoming match.

McEnroe tweeted the odds with a precise numerical display to highlight this fact, “Today the 2 legends @DjokerNole and @RafaelNadal meet on clay at the @Olympics. It’s their 60th official head-to-head match. Djokovic leads 30-29 After today, he leads 31-29. It’s Novak 6-2, 6-3.”

Patrick drew a lot of flak after he predicted Carlos Alcaraz successfully defending his crown at the Wimbledon Championships. Djokovic’s fans were unable to accept his opinion after the Serbian ace raised their hopes of claiming his 8th Grass title. However, McEnroe’s prediction did come to pass, and now he is back again at the Paris Olympics, with some bold narratives!

However, what was surprising was the reaction of tennis fans. Instead of coming out in arms, they subduedly accepted the fate with minimal or no resistance. McEnroe’s Wimbledon analysis has certainly added a safety barrier as fans have started to rely on his analysis.

Pleasing tennis fans is no easy task. If they don’t like something, they will come out in arms to make the person correct his narrative. However, sometimes it may not work if you are Andy Murray or the tennis brat John McEnroe. However, there is one person who can make the strong-minded fans walk beside him: John McEnroe’s brother. But this didn’t come easy as he had to undergo a massive grinding at Wimbledon. Now, that is all in the past.

After Patrick came out with prediction, he was surprised by the support it gathered. As this tennis fan said, “You nailed Wimbledon so if you think @DjokerNole is that strong, he probably is.” Patrick McEnroe wasn’t the only one to irk the community at Wimbledon. Roddick was another one who got caught on the wrong side of tennis fans

When Roddick shared his opinion on the doubles category at Wimbledon, he was brutally slammed by tennis fans and a coach for his harsh opinion. Roddick made doubles look like a cakewalk and thought that doubles have become more watered down than singles, and the latter is more physically demanding. While Roddick is yet to earn his keep from the tennis fans, McEnroe has won the crown, as now he is called, “Patrick Nostradamus.” Who gets his predictions right!

Moreover, tennis fans have hands down accepted the President of the International Tennis Hall of Fame as a credible oracle! And now they share their expressions on his probabilities as this tennis fan did, “Rolling my eyes 👀 for you. Haaaaaa!!!” This acceptance also points out the fact that Djokovic is the favorite at the Olympics as he looks for the elusive gold that has evaded his hold for long.

Whether the predictions would fare out as John McEnroe’s brother said, would be known in just a few hours. For now, in the words of tennis fans, it’s “Well dam Patrick…” He certainly denied the beautiful last dance to the King of Clay!
