The situation is boiling at Roland Garros! It’s not just the high stakes of the match between Novak Djokovic and Lorenzo Musetti that’s causing the heat—it’s the intense and heated gestures from both players. Djokovic, the seasoned warrior, is a picture of controlled aggression, his eyes burning with determination. Musetti, the young challenger, meets him with equal fire, refusing to back down. The Paris Olympics semi-final is living up to its reputation, packed with drama and fierce battles, and this match is no exception.

The Serbian Maestro handsomely cruised through the first set of the match as he handed a scathing defeat to the Italian star, 6-4. But as he attempted to get complete dominance over the match, the situation became unfavorable for him. This left the star player agitated and furious in the match.

After trailing 2-1 in the second set, the Serbian star lost a first serve after a time violation in the match. This left him visibly annoyed as he shouted at his box. Eventually, he was penalized with an audible obscenity violation. While the statements remain unclear, his challenges definitely mounted. But, what’s a player without resilience?

Djokovic fashionably won the second set of the match as well with 6-2, after the incident, and did not let Musetti make a comeback. But this is not the first time when the Serb has lost his calm at his box on the courts of Roland Garros. During the recently concluded French Open, fans spotted Djokovic arguing with his team and wife Jelena, while he was on his fifth set of the match against the Argentinian opponent Francisco Cerundolo. The latest incident also gave a flashback of a similar incident that took place with Nole while facing Musetti.

Djokovic was booed by the Monte Carlo Masters crowd as he argued a ball mark with the chair umpire during his third-round match in 2023. Playing against Musetii, the Serbian Maestro later smashed his racket eventually receiving a racquet abuse warning. Coming back to today’s match, Djokovic is not the only one to lose his calm.

Musetti mimics his opponent as he fails to control his anger in the Olympics

The Italian tennis star was on a sensational run at the Paris Olympics. But despite winning all the matches in straight sets so far, Musetti could not solve the riddle that Novak Djokovic posed in front of him and the frustration was evident.

After losing the first set of the semi-final clash 6-4, the Italian player was seen smashing his racquet in frustration. He broke his racquet ahead of the second set and the frustration was understandable as well. Musetti had leveled the first set 4-4. But despite playing significantly, he failed to keep up the momentum and eventually lost the set. Djokovic, on the other hand, was on the verge of losing his lead of 5-4, but he represented his vintage self and bounced back to win the set. Musetti meanwhile received a warning from the umpire for breaching the tennis code of conduct.

As the event draws to a close soon, it would be interesting to see if the players display more such agitated behavior or keep their sanctity intact.
