After bagging the historic gold, Nole reached out to the Spaniard in hopes of empathizing with his loss. The former World No. 1 took to X in hopes of reassuring Alcaraz that he shouldn’t fret because he’ll get plenty of chances to claim the podium’s top spot in the future. “Another epic final. El clasico. Congratulations to you and your team for an excellent Olympics. Considering your age, your energy and the way you play, you probably have 20 more Olympics ahead of you. Your gold will come. Until next time, amigo.”

Both Alcaraz and Djokovic are resting after engaging in a draining Olympic campaign. The duo will not be participating at the Canadian Open, which houses the performance of the top ATP players. However, their non-attendance will likely result in their attendance at the upcoming Cincinnati Open, where Nole will defend his title.
