While the legendary Rafael Nadal is set to represent his nation one last time, it wasn’t just him but his look-alike who became the star of the show during the opening ceremony.

It has been just minutes since the convoy of 94 boats from different nations started to sail down Paris’ iconic Seine River. While many renowned tennis entities were spotted enjoying the grand opening, it was Rafael Nadal who attracted everyone’s attention. The Spaniard was accompanied by his wife Maria Francisca Perello and Baby Rafa.

Among multiple glimpses of his presence shared across different social media platforms, a post on the US Open’s official X handle came out to be the most adorable one. On a balcony covered with Spain’s national flag, Rafa was seen cheering with complete enthusiasm as baby Rafa replicated the same energy.

Both father and son were seen lifting their fists up in the sky, making loud noises as Spain’s boat, boarded by Marcus Cooper Walz (Canoeing) and Támara Echegoyen (Sailing) sailed through the adorable scenes.

Along with the look-alike duo, Rafa’s wife Maria Francisca Perello was also seen standing next to her family, with a big smile on her face.SO. Amid the happy vibes enjoyed by the Spanish family, rumors are pointing at a glorious role for the ATP star.

Although Rafael Nadal was seen having a good time with his family, spectating the opening ceremony, it seems like he will have to step down to play another role for his nation. The Spaniard, who already has two Olympic gold medals in his massive portfolio of achievements, is currently rumored to guide the path for his team with the glorious torch in his hand.
