From making an appearance at Wimbledon to participating in a Coldplay concert, he knows how to surprise his fans.

Well recently, on behalf of his foundation, the 20-time Grand Slam champion made his fans and top athletes smile with his sudden appearance at the Super10 fight in Zurich. Let’s take a look at the unexpected surprise the 42-year-old tennis legend gave to his fans to spice up the event.

Roger Federer makes a surprise appearance 

After his retirement, the former world number one is working hard to uplift his foundation in a better way while trying to keep a perfect balance aligned with his family time. Recently, the Swiss maestro made an appearance in front of 12,000 fans as a surprise guest by attending this year’s Super10 fight. According to Blick, after making a surprise appearance, Federer shared his experience of attending a wrestling event.

He said, “I think it was a mistake that I didn’t stop by the Super10 fight earlier – in this atmosphere! No seriously, I was of course always a little afraid of injuries during my career and unfortunately it didn’t fit into my tournament plan.” 

Apparently, the 42-year-old Swiss tennis legend was there as an ambassador for his nonprofit organization and a supporter of 168 Sporthilfe talents. The crowd honored him with a standing ovation, welcoming one of the well-known personalities in the tennis world into their arena.

It wouldn’t be incorrect to state that for the 12,000 sports lovers who came to watch the wrestling match this year, Federer’s surprise visit was like the cherry on top. However, before this, the former number one attended a rugby match with his whole family, giving his fans some delightful family moments with a surprise rugby fan appearance.

When rugby fan Federer made an appearance 

The 2023 Rugby World Cup final was quite special for Springboks fan, Federer, as he got the perfect opportunity to witness the amazing victory. While there were no such prior announcements or updates on whether he would make an appearance in the World Cup final or not, he showed up in the audience with his whole family and enjoyed the match like a true fan.

Along with that, he also experienced emotional moments as the World Cup brought his tennis memories back to life. Federer, who is a huge fan of the South African rugby team, could barely hold back his tears as the Siya Kolisi-led team achieved an amazing victory.
