Former world No.1 legendary German tennis player Boris Becker was one of the most remarkable players to ever grace the tennis court. Early on in his career, he cemented his position in the realm of tennis by winning three Wimbledon titles (1985, 1986, 1989). Becker is the youngest tennis player to win Wimbledon at the age of seventeen.
In 1993, the tennis player tied the knot with the Russian model named Barbara Feltus. However, the couple divorced in January 2001. In a snippet from an upcoming documentary, Becker can be seen detailing his first meeting with Barbara. However, the sequence of events is not the way how his ex-wife remembers it.

Boris Becker was embroiled in multiple controversies throughout his career. The documentary – “Boom! Boom! The World vs. Boris Becker” which is scheduled to be released on 7th April on AppleTV gives insights into Becker’s initial meeting with his former wife. In the 1990s, when Becker was at the peak of his career, he thought about starting a family with Barbara.
“I looked at her and thought: Mmmh … I said to her: We don’t need to talk much longer. I think you will become my wife. That’s it. I swear to God,” Becker revealed about his first meeting with Barbara.
However, following Becker’s confession, Barbara straightway disagreed, and she corrected him, “Was it like that? Not quite! He didn’t say the sentence to me that night but to a friend of mine.”
She continued, “He said, ‘Are we going to my place or are we going to yours. BOOM!’ Boris talks himself out again.”
However, the blissful marital life was smashed to smithereens as Becker was actively involved in an affair with Angela Ermakova in 1999. Soon after that, his marriage with Barbara fell apart with the couple parting ways in 2001.

The filmmaker Alex revealed the challenges he faced with Becker while filming the documentary. Alex was not surprised about putting the Nobu incident into the documentary. He stated, “I knew that, by the time I had started, of course, the Nobu incident was well known and some of the more scandalous episodes and.. problems with finances hanging over him.”
