It’s been quite an eventful past few days for Roger Federer. The Swiss Maestro attended an Elton John concert, shared the stage with Coldplay, and made a Wimbledon appearance. All of this in a span of 72 hours. However, sharing the stage with one of the most famous rock bands seemed to be the most intriguing one here.

Well, it was none other than Roger Federer’s daughter who convinced the Swiss Maestro to join Coldplay on stage. Chris Martin, the lead singer of the band, texted Federer prior to the concert. He asked Federer if he wanted to help the band with one of the songs. The former world number 1 was in two minds, but how did his daughter convince him?

Yesterday, the 20-time major champion revealed more details about the eventful last 72 hours. When asked about sharing the stage with Coldplay, Federer summarized the entire story.

He said via CNN, “On Saturday night Chris Martin invites me, he was like ‘Do you wanna come and help us with one of the songs?’ I was like ‘Really?’ and I was sitting at dinner. I read the message to my wife, my two daughters and some friends and they’re like ‘Oh my god you gotta do it!’. Myla, my daughter looks at me and says, ‘Papa! Go! You only live once!”

Federer gained all the limelight after taking centre stage. Initially, the Swiss Maestro was confused. He wasn’t sure what he was supposed to do in front of 50000 fans at Stadion Letzigrund. But, after more than 20 years of entertaining the crowd with his racket skills, this seemed like a walk in the park for Federer. He played the shaker, gave a beat to the song, and mesmerized the Zurich crowd.

Was this the last of Roger Federer’s music career?
