It was a shocking announcement by Federer, who had earlier revealed that he’ll play in the Laver Cup and the Swiss Indoors Basel. Nonetheless, fans will be able to catch the last glimpse of the Swiss maestro on the court as he’ll play in the Laver Cup, which will be his last tournament. As he announced his retirement, Wilson shared a heartfelt note for Federer.
When Roger Federer visited Wilson Headquarters
Over the years, we have seen Federer use Wilson tennis rackets during tournaments. The brand, on its official Instagram handle, shared a note for Federer, in which it highlighted its fondest memory with the 20-time Grand Slam champion.
The note read, “We have so many fond memories of you from the past 24 years. How could we ever forget your 20 Grand Slam titles and all your incredible on court accomplishments. But to be honest, our fondest memory of you will always be that time you visited Wilson Headquarters in Chicago and took the time to pose for individual photos with each one of us.”

Further, it said, “You made over 300 dreams come true that day, and the pictures we have with you still adorn every desk at Wilson. Your smile was just as bright and authentic in the first photo as it was in the last, and your generosity and sincerity was felt by all.”
