Roger Federer was one of the dominant forces in men’s tennis for the last two decades. By the time he decided to move on from professional tennis, Federer had won a whopping 20 singles Grand Slam titles. His fabulous feats on the tennis court gave him the platform to connect with his fans worldwide. Occasionally, he would also indulge in a bit of fun to keep himself in positive spirits away from the tennis court. For instance, in 2017, Federer, along with Grigor Dimitrov, David Foster, and Tommy Haas, got together for a musical extravaganza. It was eventually nicknamed the “Backhand Boys”.

Federer must have remembered the viral moment recently after he met the Jonas Brothers at the 2023 Formula One Miami Grand Prix. The Swiss legend even struck a pose for the cameras with the musically talented trio and was very much looking like the group’s fourth member.

The Jonas Brothers and Roger Federer attended the grand event. Unsurprisingly, when the Jonas Brothers bumped into Federer, they posed, and the resulting picture was quite remarkable.

Roger Federer’s viral 2017 musical experiment

2017 saw Federer collaborating with fellow tennis players Tommy Haas and Grigor Dimitrov for a rare musical performance. It was spearheaded by David Foster, who happens to be famous music producer and also Haas’ father-in-law.

Foster, who was playing the piano, gave the trio of vocalists the perfect musical foundation to sing on. He was playing the piano rendition of Chicago’s “Hard to Say I’m Sorry”. The song topped music charts back in the 1980s. So, the fact that Federer seemed to blend in effortlessly with the Jonas Brothers is actually not very surprising.
