Novak Djokovic has now become the undisputed highest Grand Slam title holder in the ATP realm. Proving his GOAT status by winning the 2023 French Open, he has established his legacy on the court, despite not being able to play at multiple tournaments last year. However, as the biggest competitor of crowd favorite Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, there is undoubtedly going to be lash at him. But American tennis star Reilly Opelka is not letting them do that.

After winning 23 Grand Slam titles, which is the highest any ATP player has clinched on the court, Djokovic has irked the media after stealing the record-holder status of the likes of Federer and Rafa.

Before the advent of Novak Djokovic on the court, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer had already established their persevered GOAT status on the court. However, then Djokovic came into the picture and proved to be a challenge.

The final of the French Open was a live depiction of the resilient attitude of the Serbian tennis legend. The Norwegian tennis star had left Djokovic tired after taking a significant game lead. However, Djoker bounced back and won in three straight sets.

Now, he has the highest number of Grand Slam titles that any ATP player has been able to clinch yet. This might have irked a lot of Rafa and Federer’s fans. Also, the media has portrayed Djokovic in a negative light. It has taken up issues like his vaccination status and his participation at the Tel Aviv Open last year.

So, Opelka took a dig at the media and after sharing his picture with the Roland Garros trophy, he stated, “media hates this pic” with a GOAT emoji. He also shared another picture of the Serbian star with the caption, “witnessed history today.”

Djokovic has become the only ATP player to win each Grand Slam title three times and people might not like it, but he has created a legacy for himself on the court.

The Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard hailed Novak Djokovic after his astounding victory at the French Open. Making her bias for Roger Federer clear, she did not hesitate in declaring Djokovic as the undisputed GOAT.
