Novak Djokovic has stunned the world with his incredible winning streak, which even younger players are struggling to achieve. The Djoker has won two Grand Slams this year and has already made his way to the semi-finals of the Wimbledon Championships. His previous year’s final opponent, Nick Kyrgios, has already chosen sides. As a testament to their friendship, after the 23 Grand Slam singles title winner made it to the semis, the Aussie star commented on Djokovic’s Instagram post with a positive message while also praising him in the Netflix docuseries, Break Point: Part 2. Despite being rivals, who met in the 2022 Wimbledon final, Kyrgios had nothing but positive things to say about the Serb.

Galvanized by the Djoker’s play at SW19 this year, Kyrgios made amusing and brutally honest revelations about the 2nd seed that mesmerized him.

In the 7th episode of Netflix’s docuseries ‘Break Point,’ Kyrgios recalled his Wimbledon final match of 2022 with the Serb. This is also the last major tournament the Aussie has played before going on a hiatus. Djokovic defeated the Australian in three straight sets, despite Kyrgios winning the first. With this victory, the Serb has surpassed Roger Federer’s record by adding the 21st Slam to his career.

Speaking of playing against the 36-year-old, Kyrgios said, “He?s played in, I have no idea how many Slam finals, probably like 30, 40. I?m a kid from Canberra. I?m not supposed to be here. But I?m here. You win this tournament, and you become Tennis’s new model.”?The Aussie then revealed the toughest qualities of the Serb that blew his mind away.

Kyrgios said, “He?s so mentally in tune with everything. His composure in certain moments where another player would have started to panic. He didn?t show me. He?s calmer. You can?t rush him. He?s more patient. You can?t teach that. It comes from experience.” The testimony of the 28-year-old was backed by a former tennis player and even Serena Williams’ ex-coach.

The Serb has stunned colleagues and legends alike

Andy Roddick, who, unfortunately, quit tennis when he was just 30 years old due to an injury, said, ?Physically dominant. Mentally tougher than everyone else. Novak, he?s the master of the game.??Patrick Mouratoglou also made his stance clear by saying, “Beating Novak at?Wimbledon is probably the highest mountain to climb for any tennis player.”

Roddick defeated Djokovic in 5 of the 9 matches they played against each other. His win percentage against the Serb is higher than Federer and Rafael Nadal’s. The Aussie’s win percentage is even higher than that of Roddick, having won 2 matches against the Serb out of the 3. The Grass Slam final is the only match the ‘Aussie Bad Boy’ lost against the Serb.

According to tennis pundits and analysts, Djokovic is one step closer to claiming his 24th Slam and re-writing his own record. He defeated Andrey Rublev in the quarter-finals and will play Jannik Sinner in the semi-final today. Both the players met twice on the court, with the Serb bagging both victories. It was Sinner whom Djokovic defeated to reach the semi-finals of last year’s Grass Slam. Will Sinner get his revenge, or will Djokovic continue to be undefeated?
