American rising star in tennis Frances Tiafoe revealed his dream to remember the institution responsible for his success. Despite not winning any Grand Slam titles, Tiafoe impressed the fraternity with his skills, ending 2023 with a bang. Notably, he started his tennis journey while hanging out at a National Tennis Centre, where his immigrant father worked as a custodian.

National Junior Tennis and Learning Network not only brought him fame but Tiafoe and his brother slept in the facility’s extra rooms at night. The center’s contribution to this American tennis star’s life is unexplainable. Now Tiafoe wishes to acknowledge the place that made him a true tennis star.

This American rising star was asked about his viewpoint on supporting junior tennis during an interview. In his response, Tiafoe said, “It’s a big deal to me. The NJTL [National Junior Tennis and Learning Network] is my life. I wouldn’t be here today without it. It means a lot for me to be able to pay it forward and be here, and hopefully do these clinics all around the country. It’s a huge honor for me. I’m so passionate about this and I’m super excited.”

Tiafoe hosted a kid’s clinic last Tuesday to raise funds for young tennis enthusiasts. He felt extremely delighted to support this objective. He further stated, “I am honored to do this clinic and kick off my foundation, I think every kid needs to have that inspiration. Someone who they can relate to who has had success in the game — who also went through the same things that you did.”

The American rising star in tennis also remembers the hard work of his father, who gave him a future he could only dream of at that time. Remembering his father’s contribution, he said, “My dad was a maintenance worker at that time, a construction worker who helped build the academy which is the Tennis center now in 99. My mom and dad weren’t together at that time. He lived at the Tennis Center for like 16 years.”
