The ‘Big 4’ in the men’s circuit involving the likes of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray have always managed to enthrall the audience. While amassing a plethora of Grand Slam titles, the ATP legends’ remarkable on-court prowess was always on display during their respective tennis journeys. However, the ‘Big 4’ is likely coming to its end with the Swiss Maestro’s retirement and his old colleagues, Nadal and Murray struggling to keep up with their fitness levels.
It is the Serbian tennis star, Djokovic who is now carrying on the ‘old establishment’ while competing against the current generation on the ATP Tour. Emphasizing the same, Jannik Sinner’s coach recently revealed how it is ‘fascinating’ to witness the two eras collide on the court.

Darren Cahill was recently featured in the Advantage Connors podcast show in which he talked about how the ‘Big 4’ is coming to an end. But the Italian tennis sensation’s coach touted the new generation of players to fill the void that will be left by the ATP legends. Cahill claimed that it’s been really “exciting” to witness many young guns that have now come through on the men’s circuit.
He further mentioned the names of Jannik Sinner, Holger Rune, and Carlos Alcaraz while asserting that these talented youngsters are pushing each other to pursue bigger and better things. While still performing at his optimum levels on the court, the 36-year-old also marked his fourth triumph at the US Open after overcoming the current-generation stars. In light of his recent victory, Cahill recently hailed the ‘Djoker’ during the podcast show. He said, “And then of course, you’ve got the old establishment still doing amazing things with Novak winning the US Open.”
