Spanish tennis sensation, Carlos Alcaraz, has cemented his position as one of the greatest players of the current generation. Arguably in the best season of his tennis career, the 20-year-old won the Wimbledon Championships along with a couple of Masters 1000 titles. Additionally, he also attained the top position in the ATP rankings chart for a brief period. Recently, the youngster got candid on the Swiss maestro, Roger Federer.

Carlos Alcaraz makes a heartfelt confession

A few hours ago, the reigning Wimbledon champion was involved in a press conference where he reflected on his season and comparisons to tennis greats like Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic. Subsequently, he also went on to reveal his emotions while facing such players.

Talking about this, Alcaraz said, “These three great players have had an influence on me and practically all tennis players. I grew up watching them play Grand Slam finals.”

Further, Alcaraz went on to add, “I’ve always thought I was in their place. I have worked hard, I had a clear dream that I have pursued. I have had the opportunity to play with Djokovic and Rafa, but not with Federer, I would have loved it.”

At just 20, Carlos Alcaraz has broken many records. As he moves up and down in his promising career, new achievements keep getting added to his list. Speaking of new achievements, Alcaraz went on to feature in an exclusive list that features the Big Three.

Carlos Alcaraz joins the likes of Federer and Nadal

A few weeks back, Alcaraz reached the fourth round of the Shanghai Masters. Although he lost to Grigor Dimitrov, the Spaniard went on to achieve a special feat in China.

The 20-year-old won 25 ATP Masters 1000 matches this year resulting in him joining the likes of Federer and Nadal on the list of players who have won the most Masters 1000 matches in a single season. Djokovic leads the pack with 39 matches won followed by Nadal and Federer with 35 and 34, respectively.
