The Grand Slam events are the biggest sporting tournaments in the tennis world, and the Wimbledon Championships is the oldest Slam. Every tennis player dreams of winning the Grand Slam title through their efforts and hard work. Djokovic applies the same logic, and is extremely keen on winning more Grand Slam titles.
“I look to peak in the biggest tournaments of our sport. I have said it before, at this stage of my career, Grand Slams are the one that matter the most, and of course 1000 events on the ATP tour. I try to maintain the high position on the rankings, but since I reached the historic number one, the priority for me is to play well in Slams. Also Olympic games, this year being the Olympic year,” said Djokovic in his post match press conference.

Djokovic on his domination and the meaning of domination
Novak Djokovic has been a dominant force this year, winning two Grand Slam titles already. He has won the first two rounds at Wimbledon with great ease, justifying his number one seeding and ranking. It is expected of him to dominate the lower ranked players, especially since he is the defending champion here at SW19.
“In terms of dominating, it is very relative you know, what domination means. For me its something else, and for someone else. I don’t play as many tournaments as I have in the past years. I have different priorities, different focus, different goals. So that’s all I can say about the way I have been feeling right now and what I am aiming for in professional tennis,” said Djokovic.
