Is having Federer in the stands a blessing or a curse for young talents like Jacob Fearnley?

Second round of Wimbledon, and playing against one of the best tennis players that the world has ever seen. A lot was already at stake for Jacob Fearnley, the young British star. Having impressed everyone with his gameplay, the 22-year-old star looked to get over what was his biggest challenge of his career so far, Novak Djokovic. With already so much at stake for him, his nerves got tangled even further when another GOAT of the game came to attend his match, Roger Federer.

The Swiss legend, who won 8 Wimbledon titles througout his career as a professional tennis athlete was recently spotted at the hallowed grass courts of Wimbledon and came to witness one of his greatest rivals, Novak Djokovic in action. For a second consecutive season, the king of grass courts made his presence known to the crowd. While this might not have been a big deal for the Djoker, it certainly was for the young British star.

Interestingly, just a day prior to the Swiss legend’s presence, his wife Mirka Federer was also seen in the stands during the Jannik Sinner and Matteo Berrettini encounter and now, the legend himself is there. In a match where the Australian Open champion won the match, it was Mirka who stole the show.

Talking about Fearnley, while he might not be the favorite to clinch the win today against the Djoker, he would certainly want to impress the legend Roger Federer with his eye-cathching shots. However, nervousness would still mount him over. As for Roher Federer, what many might not know is the fact that his appearance at Wimbledon this year is possible, courtesy to his children.
