It is time for tennis fans to be prepared with their tissues as Roger Federer is all set to take on the TV screens once again. For the ones who miss the legend’s dominant appearance on the courts, Amazon Prime Video is releasing a documentary revisiting the last 12 days of his professional career. While it is clear that the camera will revolve around Federer and the Laver Cup, will it also include the memorable chemistry he had with Big 3 rivals Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal?

Recently, Prime Video’s official X account shared a glimpse of the upcoming documentary “Federer: Twelve Final Days”. In the video, the former tennis pro can be seen narrating the aspects of the story along with his wife Mirka, who supposedly will also share several frames with the legend. “One final serve. FEDERER: Twelve Final Days, June 20,” the caption said, announcing the date of its release. The short clip not only shows the Swiss maestro’s family but his two greatest rivals/ friends as well.

As the name suggests, the documentary is set to present a deeper dive into the last twelve days of Roger Federer as a professional tennis player. It all happened at the 2022 Laver Cup, it is clear that both Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal are set to be covered in the film, as both of them were present to see off the strong pillar of the big three.

The release is set to be June 20, almost 10 days after Wimbledon is over. The timing matches nicely with the one Grand Slam Roger Federer is best known for, where he has won 8 titles.

The teaser shared on X also contains a short clip featuring Novak Djokovic in which he can be seen bidding goodbye to his friend, co-player, and fierce competitor, while he was set to see off the glorious world of tennis. What else do we know about “Federer: Twelve Final Days”?

Soon after Amazon Prime Video came up with the first look of Roger Federer’s documentary, the fans were stuffed up with curiosity. While everyone wondered which aspects of Federer’s legendary career the film focuses on, the protagonist and narrator himself came forward to drop major hints about the contents.

“It’s a snapshot of my life over those 12 days, which is pretty hardcore and interesting,” he said, giving fans a clear hint of what the surprise package contains. “It’s looking deep into another layer of the tennis tour–how the camaraderie is a good one on the tour,” he added, giving more details about what is yet to come.

As the fans eagerly wait for the series to be released on Prime Video, it is evident that every true fan will take some time off to re-visit the glorious farewell of the tennis legend.
