Behind every successful man is a woman. Similarly, behind every successful kid, there are their parents. Such has been the story of Britain’s most successful tennis player, Andy Murray. The former World Number 1 was introduced to tennis at a very young age. His mother, Judy, was his coach during his childhood. However, when Murray was still a kid, he received unfortunate news about his parents.
Murray’s father, William, and mother, Judy, announced their separation when the tennis star was just 10. Although this could’ve seriously hampered his career, Murray focused on his game amid personal troubles. But the question remains about the reason for their separation.

Revealing the relationship between his mother and father, Murray said, “They didn’t speak too much and they didn’t get on too well together… they are just two different people.” This troubled Andy Murray a lot, and sometimes he found himself in a situation where he had to decide with whom he wanted to spend time, especially on special occasions.
Murray added, “If I stayed with my mother for two nights, then I felt I should stay with my father for two nights. At Christmas I didn’t know how long to spend with each of them. I would get stuck in the middle of their arguments.”
